Crewing Manager

Norwind Offshore is seeking an experienced and motivated Crewing Manager to strengthen our organization and ensure that our growing fleet of purpose-built offshore vessels is always staffed with competent and qualified personnel.

Our goal is to remain a preferred provider of advanced maritime operations. Today, we operate five vessels, with three additional vessels currently under construction for delivery in 2026 and 2027.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all vessels are always crewed with the right competence, valid certifications, and required visas/work permits.
  • Plan vessel manning and maintain stable and consistent crew rotations on board.
  • Stay updated on changes to laws, regulations, and certification requirements.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with seafarers onboard.
  • Maintain, comply with, and further develop the company’s HR procedures.
  • Prepare and follow up on budgets, costs, and KPIs, including regular reporting.
  • Hold personnel responsibility for the crewing department and contribute to its development and goal achievement.
  • Develop and manage competence and career development plans for seafarers.
  • Utilize, maintain, and further develop digital solutions to simplify and improve workflows within the crewing department.
  • Ensure a safe and positive working environment, both within the crewing department and onboard vessels.
  • Be an active member of the company’s Emergency Response Team.

 

Desired Qualifications & Skills

Professional Competence

  • Relevant HR experience within the maritime industry.
  • Proven experience with manning operations and crew coordination.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable maritime laws, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial follow-up.
  • Strong understanding of digital systems and proficiency with relevant tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
